Dance Policies

Tuition is based off of a full season (August-May) and payments are to be made in equal monthly installments prior to the first of the month. Tuition does NOT reflect the number of classes or weeks in a month. Tuition payments are NON-REFUNDABLE for any missed classes. Holidays are not prorated.

Monthly Tuition

• 1 class per week: $65 September-May; August - $32.50
• 2 classes per week: $110 September-May; August - $55
• 3 classes per week: $145 September-May; August - $72.50
• 4 classes per week: $175 September-May; August - $87.50
• 5 classes per week: $200 September-May; August - $100
• 6 classes per week: $220 September-May; August - $110
• 7 or more classes per week (unlimited): $235 September-May; August - $117.50
  

Registration Fee

$40 for the first student and $20 for each additional sibling due upon registration with your first month’s tuition.

Late Fees ‍

If a monthly payment is made after the 5th of the month, then a $10 late fee will be assessed.

Multi-Student and Parent Discount‍

Families with more than one student enrolled at 5678 Dance will receive a ten percent (10%) discount off of Monthly Tuition payments. Parents of enrolled students will receive a fifty percent (50%) discount off of Tuition Payments for adult classes. The adult class discount is the maximum discount available no matter the number of enrolled students the parent has.

‍Payment Methods‍

*NEW* All tuition payments, costumes, competition fees, andrecital fees will be automatically charged to the card on file on thedue date. Tuition will be auto drafted on the 1st of every month. Costume fees will be auto-drafted according to the schedule below. You may provide a different method ofpayment, but it must be made prior to the 1st. We accept payments via credit/debit, cash, and check. There is a $35 fee forall returned checks.

For any payment method you select, you hereby authorize 5678 Dance to charge/debit my account for payment of my bill and for any other reasonable charges for all activities, costumes, special events, and other activities related to this Agreement. You further understand that any charges/debits to your account may not be processed without your consent.

5678 Dance presents TWO fabulous productions each season: The Nutcracker (ballet classes only) and our Annual Spring Recital. More details on each performance will be released closer to the show. All dancers will participate in recitals. If you know you will not be able to participate in either show, you must e-mail us at info@5678dance.com by September 1st for The Nutcracker and December 1st for our Spring production. For a student to be eligible to participate in a performance, your account MUST be current in payment.

Costumes

Each class will have a costume for our performances. Families must pay for the cost of those costumes in addition to any registration fees or Monthly Tuition payments, unless otherwise agreed upon. Costume prices generally range from $75-$100 and include a pair of tights.

Payments are due according to this schedule:

• Due September 1st: Ballet & Pointe Costumes

• Due October 1st: Jazz & Tap Costumes

• Due November 1st: Lyrical & Tumbling Costumes

• Due December 1^st: Musical Theatre & Hip Hop Costumes
  

*Please note that charges for the costumes will be included in the invoice for the month listed above and will be auto-drafted to the card on file. Late payment for costumes may result in the student’s costume not being ordered. Costume payments are NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason.

All families will have access to our parent portal to process payments, register for classes, and be informed of current happenings at the studio. It is very important that you check this often and keep your information up to date. We understand that as a parent, you receive a million emails a day, but it is our most used form of communication and the best way to contact us. We are committed to staying “green” by reducing our output of paperwork. You can access the Parent Portal by clicking the link at the top right corner of this website.

To withdraw, a student must provide thirty (30) days written notice via e-mail at info@5678dance.com.  Any payments due and paid after providing notice are non-refundable.  

It is the responsibility of the parents to provide proper attire for class, but it is the responsibility of the student to dress properly for class. Students not properly attired may be asked to watch class. Hair should be pulled back off of the face and buns MUST be worn for ballet. Please write the student’s name in all shoes, bags, and attire. Please refer to the Class Descriptions and Attire section of our website to find the correct dress code for your class and where to purchase items.

• Students should not be dropped off at the studio more than 5 minutes before scheduled class times and should be picked up no later than 5 minutes after class ends. After the first 5 minutes, there will be a $1/minute fee added to your account.  5678 Dance shall not assume responsibility for students dropped off early or left late and shall not assume responsibility for students outside the building.
• Discourteous or disruptive students may be required by the instructor to sit down and take a “time out” from class, or, parents may be called to pick the student up early. Consistently discourteous or disruptive students and/or parents may be required to withdraw from classes at the discretion of 5678 Dance.
• No food or drinks other than water will be permitted inside the studio.
• Devices such as smart watches, tablets, or other similar personal electronic devices are not allowed inside the dance studio.
• Cell phones are permitted in the dance studio but must remain in bags and must be turned off. We do not permit the use of cell phones between classes unless there is an emergency. If they are seen, they will be given to the front desk until the student is finished with classes.
• A student’s personal belongings should be labelled with his or her name.
• Dancers should be on time to class and make every effort to attend each session. Attendance is very important in dance instruction and is important to classmates as well. Make-up classes are available within 30 days of the missed class and can be scheduled through the parent portal.
• 5678 Dance follows Gwinnett County Public Schools’ decisions on inclement weather closings/delays. Classes cancelled on these decisions may be made up but shall not be refunded.
• Any student that is confirmed to have COVID-19, is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or has been exposed to a person that has tested positive for COVID-19 is not permitted to participate in classes until they are no longer a risk of infection to the other students and teachers.

In the event of a government-mandated shutdown of our facility, we will convert to an online, virtual format to continue to provide our families with dance classes. If you do not wish to continue your classes in this online format, then you must cancel in accordance with the Withdrawal Policy listed above.

I give my consent for images (photographs, video) of my dependent to be taken and used to document the activities of 5678 Dance. I grant 5678 Dance permission to use the images for business, educational, and/or promotional purposes. I understand that if I do not want images of my dependent to be used, I will indicate this in a signed writing and hand deliver that signed writing to the front desk and additionally send a copy via certified mail to 5678 Dance, 4264 Sudderth Rd., Buford, GA 30518.

In consideration of being accepted as a student at 5678 Dance LLC, the undersigned on its behalf and on behalf of the student releases and discharges 5678 Dance and all associated studios, its and their owners, employees and agents, from all claims, demands, rights or causes of action, present or future, whether known, anticipated or unanticipated, and resulting from or arising out of, or incident to, the undersigned’s or the student’s use (or intended use) of a dance course studio or location, or facilities and equipment in such a place, or as a result of, or incident to, engaging in dance course exercises or otherwise following dance course instructions anywhere. 

I understand that there are certain risks of physical bodily harm inherent in engaging in the dance course, said physical bodily harm including, but not limited to, bruising, broken bones, and muscle, joint, nerve, and/or spinal injury. Moreover, I understand that due to the nature of conducting a group dance class in an enclosed environment wherein students are physically exerting themselves that there is an increased risk of contracting a virus, disease, or infection, including, but not limited to covid-19/Coronavirus even if 5678 Dance exercises guidance from the state of Georgia, the federal government, and/or health officials. Understanding these risks, I hereby assume on my own and on behalf of the student all responsibility for and all risk of damage, injury or sickness that may occur to the student in 5678 Dance’s course of instruction, while attending classes, participating in exercises, using dance course equipment or facilities, or following dance course instructions in or out of the dance course studio or location. 

In the event of a medical emergency, permission is hereby granted to 5678 Dance to transport the Student to a medical facility if 5678 Dance is unable to contact the student’s parent/guardian or other person designated as an emergency contact.
