All stage moms will receive a FREE Recital T-shirt and will still get to watch their dancer from the front row!If you are interested in being a stage mom for your dancer’s class, please click here. Stage moms do NOT need to purchase a ticket. You can also email us at info@5678dance.com. We cannot do it without you!

Select Classes

On-Stage Rehearsals

On Wednesday, May 28th at the Eagle Theatre, we will hold onstage rehearsals for selected classes. NO costumes, hair, or makeup will be required for this day. Dancers may wear regular dance attire. Bring required dance shoes. Company members wear rehearsal uniforms. Please arrive 15 minutes BEFORE your scheduled class rehearsal to warm up.

Costumes, Hair and Make-up

Costumes will be sent home over the next few weeks. Included with each costume will be an instructional sheet for each routine’s hair and makeup. Please do not lose this sheet.

Tights

A pair of tights will also be included with your costume. If you would like to purchase another pair to have on hand in case of accidents, you may do so during your child’s class time or shoot us an email with the size you require and we will make sure to get it to you!

Make-Up

Stage makeup is required of all dancers for both dress rehearsal and the show. The stage is big and the lights are bright, so we don’t want anyone to look washed out! For little ones: plenty of blush and lipstick. For older dancers: full eye makeup, blush and lipstick.

Hair

Please make sure your dancer’s hair is neatly pulled back to whatever style is on your costume sheet. This may mean extra hairspray and bobby pins to keep everything smooth!

Dress Rehearsals

Dress Rehearsals will be held Friday, May 30th at the Eagle Theatre. Please refer to the full chart in your packet to see which show and dress rehearsal your dancer is in. Dress Rehearsals will run in the same order as the show order that is attached.

  • Please arrive at the stage door entrance located in the parking deck below the theater. Make sure your dancer is dressed in costume with hair and makeup done!
  • Upon arrival, a staff member will greet you to check in. If someone else will be picking up your dancer, please let them know at this time.
  • All dress rehearsals are closed to parents and visitors. One female parent or guardian may enter the dressing rooms but must exit before rehearsal begins. Dancers will be supervised at all times by our staff and assigned stage moms.
  • Once dress rehearsal begins, no parents, other than stage mom volunteers, will be allowed backstage or in the dressing rooms. This includes in-between routines. Our stage moms and staff will help with any quick changes.
  • Dress rehearsal will last about 2-3 hours.
  • You may wait for your dancer in the same area where you checked them in and we will allow parents back once we have completed rehearsal.

Show Day

We can’t wait to see those shining faces on stage after a long and successful year! Please refer to the full chart in the packet to see which show your child will perform in.

  • Please arrive at the theater dressed in costume with hair and makeup done!
  • Upon arrival, a staff member will check you in. If someone else will be picking up your dancer from the backstage area, please let our staff know at this time.
  • One female parent or guardian may enter the dressing rooms with your dancer but must leave at least 15 minutes before the show begins. You can follow the signs back out to the lobby to enter the audience. Doors will open 30 min prior to show time.
  • Dancers will remain backstage for the entirety of the show. No one will be permitted backstage during intermission. At the end of the show, they will receive a special award and get a chance to take a bow, so please do not try and pick up your child early!
